Why This Role Matters We are looking for an experienced SRE to work alongside our Platform Engineers to maintain and scale our technology solutions. As the first SRE hire within a rapidly growing tech department, you will be responsible for shaping our site reliability practice and processes. You won’t just be maintaining systems — you’ll be shaping our approach to uptime, performance, and scalability, bringing best-in-class practices to life. What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) • Run the pre-production & production environments by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health • Utilise/build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications • Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-value of GGT software solutions • Measure and optimise system performance • Ensure the security of the GGT platform through pen-testing and best practice • Provide primary operational support and engineering for GGT software solutions • Gather and analyse metrics from systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures • Participate in system design and platform management • Work with the Finance team to monitor cloud spend and look for cost-optimisation opportunities • Ensure that platform SLOs and SLIs are in place • Participate in on-call rotas and respond to incidents About You We’re looking for organised, proactive problem-solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
