Morson are proud to be supporting our prestegious Aerospace client sourcing for an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the Widebody Systems UK Programme Team, supporting the Landing Gear & Fuel Systems portfolio. The Widebody Programme offers a dynamic and technically challenging environment, spanning the full lifecycle of aircraft systems — from new developments and aircraft build support to deliveries and sustaining an active, growing in-service fleet.This temporary role is ideal for individuals seeking valuable programme exposure, an opportunity to expand business knowledge, and the chance to further develop their career within a high-performing Programme Management Team.
Key Responsibilities As Project Manager, you will be accountable for leading and supporting activities within the Fuel and Landing Gear portfolio, ensuring successful delivery against agreed schedules and budgets.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering work packages to challenging time, cost, and quality objectives
Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams
Integrating with key stakeholder functions including:
Engineering
Chief Engineering
Manufacturing
Procurement
Customer Services
Managing external suppliers (Landing Gear & Fuel Systems)
Providing regular progress reporting and issue escalation
Supporting yearly operating plan (budget) development
Contributing to monthly financial outlook and reporting
Ensuring adherence to Programme Management and Configuration Management processes
Supporting delivery to declared target or POE (Point of Embodiment)
You will report directly to the Head of Widebody Systems UK and play a key role in ensuring alignment across the wider programme.
Some national and international travel may be required.
Essential Skills & Experience Degree educated (or equivalent experience) in Project/Programme Management
Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle
Proven ability to deliver against time, cost, and quality objectives
Experience facilitating, coordinating, and leading meetings
Strong supplier management experience
Budget control knowledge
Technical understanding of specification, design, build, and test processes
Knowledge of configuration management
Desirable:
Familiarity with ICC CADB or ICC ACP
