Head of Quality
Full-Time(37 hours per week)
Base location negotiable, with travel across Localities expected
£45-£55K dependent upon experience
Avalon Group is an award-winning social care charity dedicated to enabling people to live fulfilling lives, however they choose. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Quality to lead our quality and compliance agenda and drive exceptional outcomes across our services.
The Role
This is a pivotal leadership position, combining strategic oversight with operational impact. You will design and deliver our Quality and Compliance Strategy, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring our services consistently meet — and exceed — regulatory and internal standards.
Working closely with the Director of Operations and senior leadership, you will oversee quality assurance frameworks, drive improvement initiatives, and ensure learning from incidents and feedback informs meaningful change.

About You
You will bring:
Proven experience in quality within health or social care
Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality management systems
A track record of translating strategy into measurable improvement
The credibility and confidence to influence at senior level
A collaborative, values-driven leadership style

The base location for this role is negotiable; however, flexibility is required to meet business needs, including travel to our local offices. A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes are essential.
