Job Title: Pouch Operator

We are currently recruiting pouch operators to join our production team. Our pouch operators set up and operate pouch making machines that convert laminated films into pouches to exceed customer expectations.
Compensation and Location
* £25,500 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience + pension + 22 days holiday + shift enhancements.
* Location: Chapel Town, Sheffield, UK.
Working Hours
* 40 hours per week, rotating shifts: Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am. Shift enhancements apply.

Responsibilities
* Read job specifications and previous run data to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
* Ensure job readiness prior to machine setup.
* Set stops or guides to specified lengths.
* Observe machine operation for defects or malfunctions.
* Make corrections to ensure product quality.
* Measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy.
* Perform quality tests such as burst, drop, and water table tests.
* Perform minor machine maintenance.
* Assist with stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished products.
* Complete documentation accurately and promptly.
* Meet or exceed standards for line speed, scrap, and setup times.
* Recommend improvements for efficiency and workflow.
* Change rolls and splice cuts as needed.
* Maintain a clean work area.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, including safety and housekeeping.
Skills and Qualifications

* Good visual acuity for color consistency.
* Manual dexterity and coordination.
* Ability to operate machinery safely.

Experience and Education
Experience in manufacturing preferred. Basic knowledge of flexible packaging films is a plus.
