Position Summary
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and communication networks. The role ensures the safety and security of people, property, and assets by responding to incidents, coordinating with on-ground security staff, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor live CCTV footage, alarms, and access control systems to detect and respond to suspicious or unlawful activities.
* Coordinate and communicate with on-site security officers, emergency responded, and management during incidents.
* Respond promptly to emergency situations, escalating issues as per standard operating procedures (SOP's).
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, activities, and system alerts in control room logs and reporting tools.
* Conduct routine checks of all control room equipment to ensure systems are fully functional.
* Provide clear instructions and support to security personnel in the field during incidents.
* Ensure compliance with security protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Handle emergency calls, alarms, and radio communications professionally and efficiently.
* Support investigations by retrieving and securing video evidence when required.
