Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Computing School for an Hourly Paid Assessor, based primarily across our Blossomfield and Stratford campuses.

We are seeking a professional and flexible assessor to support learners undertaking a range of Digital Apprenticeship Standards, up to level 4.

With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will work closely with learners, employers, and college staff to carry out workplace assessments, reviews, and progress monitoring, ensuring all assessment documentation is completed accurately and to a high standard. You will have current or recent industry experience within Computing or IT in areas such as IT Support, Software Development, Data Analysis, or Cyber Security.

A Level 3 Assessor Award (or equivalent), Verifier Award, or Award in Undertaking End Point Assessment would be advantageous. Previous experience of assessing Computing, IT or Digital programmes and conducting workplace assessments is highly desirable.

This post will involve travel to employer settings across Solihull, Birmingham and the surrounding areas, and local knowledge would be beneficial.

Solihull College & University Centre is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community and welcomes applications from individuals from all backgrounds. We aim to reflect the diversity of our student population within our staff profile and are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive working environment.

Please note that if selected for the next stage of the process, you will be required to attend the College's premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

Solihull College & University Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Please complete an application form at your earliest convenience, due to the nature of this role we may contact candidates prior to the closing date.
