About the Role
As a 1:1 GCSE tutor, you’ll be working directly with students who need that extra boost to excel in their GCSEs. Whether you’re helping them master tricky concepts or preparing them for their exams, your role will be all about making learning fun, engaging, and tailored to each student’s unique needs.
Subjects You’ll Tutor:
Specialist subjects: PE, Business, Humanities (History, Geography, and more!)
Focus on developing study skills, exam strategies, and boosting student confidence
You’ll meet students at their homes or in local settings, with hours ranging from 1 to 15 hours per week, giving you the flexibility to work around your schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing
1:1 Lessons in a range of GCSE subjects, from English and Maths to PE, Business, and Humanities
Creating personalized, engaging lessons to meet each student’s specific needs
Supporting students’ exam preparation by teaching effective study skills, exam strategies, and boosting their confidence
Building a strong rapport with students to ensure they feel heard, supported, and motivated
Tracking progress and adjusting lesson plans to keep students on track for success
What You’ll Need
Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE subjects
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
A student-centered approach, with a focus on building confidence and fostering a love of learning
Patience, creativity, and a professional attitude towards supporting students
A passion for helping students succeed academically and reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
