Building Fabric Technician Location: Belfast, BT3 9LF and surrounding areas Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £35,000 company van (diesel/hybrid) Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:00 overtime On-Call: 1 in 5 (£150 allowance) We are recruiting for an experienced Building Fabric Technician to join a leading facilities management contract supporting high-profile commercial properties across Belfast and Northern Ireland. Job Description This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled Fabric Engineer or Building Maintenance Technician looking for a stable, long-term role with excellent support, overtime opportunities, and a strong team environment. Key Responsibilities Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs. General building fabric maintenance including doors, locks/hinges, flooring, and internal fixtures. Floor repairs including fitting and replacing tiles and other surface materials. Minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, and basic pipework maintenance. Carrying out basic painting, patch repairs, and general upkeep of internal and external areas. Accurately completing job sheets, compliance documentation, and CAFM system updates. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Proven experience in a fabric or multi-skilled maintenance role. Background in facilities management or mobile maintenance environments. Experience carrying out reactive and planned maintenance (PPM). Comfortable working across multiple sites and travelling long distances (up to 100 miles/day). Good understanding of completing maintenance paperwork and job reporting systems. Full UK Driver’s License (maximum 6 points, no drink driving offences).
