The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) is seeking to appoint a Cardiology Consultant.
The postholder will have responsibility for providing a Cardiology service in conjunction with four visiting and one fulltime Cardiologist.
The position provides an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified specialist to actively contribute to the further development of a modern Cardiology service within this highly regarded Trust with its wide range of acute and community services, which will afford high professional visibility.

Main duties of the job
1. Share work load with Consultant Cardiology colleagues.
2. Provide with the other Cardiologists a system of mutual cover for annual, study and professional leave.
3. Provide a consultation and advisory service to medical colleagues in other specialities in the Trust.
4. Liaise with medical staff in other specialities and participate in the regular clinical meetings and other post-graduate activities of the hospital.

Education and Qualifications

5. MBBS or Basic Medical Degree
6. MRCP or equivalent
7. Hold a certificate or be within 6 months of completion of training/being on or eligible for the UK Specialist Register at the date of interview.
8. Full GMC registration

10. Wide experience in Cardiology and General Internal Medicine
11. Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within Cardiology
