What you'll be doing:
* Carry out routine work with limited supervision and understand safety implications in a high-risk environment.
* Lead Test and Commissioning activities of onboard electrical systems.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are safe and compliant.
* Instruct and mentor less experienced team members within your knowledge and competency.
* Research, review, and interrogate technical design documentation and drawings; create test documentation.
* Maintain full and accurate records of work activities in accordance with policy, procedure, and legislation.
* Represent the company during Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements.
* Deliver activities in line with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation systems, ideally hydraulic, pressurized air and gas, domestic, and chilled water.
* Experience in commissioning complex systems such as power plants, motors, and high voltage systems.
* Ability to write and issue Rip Out documentation, identifying correct isolations to safely isolate ship systems.
* HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of test equipment and activities for specific tests.
* Understanding of how T&C contributes to the wider business and UK enterprise.
* Knowledge of safety controls and procedures in high-risk environments.
* Aware of Nuclear Site/Authorization Conditions.
* Experience working with Distribution Systems, Fire Protection Systems, and Electrical Testing.
* Knowledge of Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs, and Fibre Optics.

The Commissioning Electrical team:
You will be part of the start of a major Dreadnought project, one of the largest and most complex engineering programs nationally. Opportunities may include travel for factory acceptance tests. Relocation support is available for eligible submarine roles.
