SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 & Small Group Support)
Clacton-on-Sea, Essex
£88 – £105 per day (PAYE)
Full-time | Term-time only
✨ The Opportunity
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Clacton-on-Sea. This rewarding role involves providing tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties.
You will work 1:1 and in small groups, helping children to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence in a safe and inclusive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Provide personalised support to pupils with SEN, adapting strategies to individual needs.
2. Assist with EHCP targets, classroom activities, and behaviour management plans.
3. Encourage positive relationships, emotional resilience, and active participation in learning.
4. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes.
5. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
✅ What We’re Looking For
6. Experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or community settings).
7. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children’s needs.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Flexibility and resilience to adapt to different situations.
10. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
