Assistant Chef Manager – Term Time Only
Shefford SG17 | £16.83 per hour | Full‑time (40 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, term‑time only).
The Assistant Chef Manager will assist the Chef Manager in running the kitchen unit, take responsibility in their absence, ensure the highest quality food preparation, maintain sanitation standards, assist in managing the kitchen staff and provide an excellent service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Support daily kitchen operations and menu preparation.
* Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
* Assist in staff scheduling, training and supervision.
* Oversee inventory, ordering and cost control.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Excellent craft skills and a commitment to high standards.
* Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
* Proven ability to manage, train and lead a team.
* Comprehensive knowledge of allergens management.
* Experience with ordering and controlling food costs.
* Maintain a neat and organised workspace.
* Passion for food with keen eye for detail.
* Capability to complete daily food and health and safety compliance records.
* Desirable: experience in the education sector.
