About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Level 3 Apprentice Support Officer to join our dynamic Brokerage team within Oxfordshire County Council. As an apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the quality assurance activities, monitoring and improving services, and assisting with projects aimed at enhancing service delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to develop practical skills and gain experience in local government settings, while contributing to positive outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Support busy teams working across children and vulnerable adult contracting teams.
Learn to use different types of software and carry out financial and support tasks.
Gain an introduction to the work of all teams across Joint Commissioning, including designing commissioned services, purchasing them, and monitoring the quality of service delivery through contract management.
Learn about working in different teams across the whole council to understand the range of services provided.
Collaborate with partner organisations and understand how services join up to ensure the best outcomes for residents.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Brokerage team within Oxfordshire County Council as a Level 3 Apprentice Support Officer. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Qualifications and Education:
A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and Maths.
Skills and Competencies:
Organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Personal Attributes:
A proactive and positive attitude.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Experience:
Any prior experience in a support or administrative role (even if through internships or volunteer work) would be advantageous.
Familiarity with local government operations or public sector work is a plus, but not essential.
Values and Motivation:
A genuine interest in public service and community improvement.
Commitment to contributing to the success of the Brokerage Team and wider council.
