Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Junior Designer to join the business and support the design team in creating technical drawings / CADs, presentation decks, and product design support.
Responsibilities:
Product Design Support
* Support and assist in designing collections across all categories within the Pringle design team.
* Assist with preparing presentation boards for range reviews and buyer/product meetings. Create presentation materials for product range sign-off meetings. Collaborate with the design team to stay updated.
* Manage reference samples, fabric swatches, sketches, and Pantones during design meetings.
* Create flat technical sketches and packs for design development.
* Develop comprehensive design development packs with all necessary components.
* Manage and maintain all related information.
Colour and Fabric Research & Development
* Develop and update seasonal colour range boards, keeping abreast of market colour trends and internal brand colour stories.
* Research market fabrics, yarns, and jersey for the season; collaborate with sourcing team and suppliers to source fabrics meeting specific pricing needs for knitwear and jersey.
* Select fabrics, trims, materials, and colours for each style aligning with mood board directions; create style plans.
* Work with the team to develop standards for maintaining and expanding the internal material library.
Team Collaboration
* Update all VRPs and CADs for the design team.
