Trainee PPM Planner – Salford Quays
Marlowe Fire & Security is the fastest‑growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we help prevent, detect and mitigate fire and security risks for customers nationwide. We are currently looking to appoint a new Trainee PPM Planner at our Head Office in Salford Quays.
Basic Salary
National Minimum Wage, subject to review.
Responsibilities
* Develop skills into a competent Planner/Scheduler through classroom training at our Marlowe Academy and on‑the‑job mentorship.
* Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain) and external clients.
* Schedule all work within the designated region in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
* Proactively monitor engineers’ activity to ensure timely dispatch, attendance and job completion.
* Maintain strong relationships with Engineers, Stores/Supply Chain and the Regional Service Manager (RSM) to ensure all calls are actioned.
* Support the RSM to meet customer expectations and liaise with key clients to enhance relationships.
* Complete the Regional Scheduler’s checklist daily, weekly and monthly, maintaining an audit trail and sharing data with the RSM.
* Monitor the Scheduling Portal (Cash4Windows) to provide real‑time visibility of engineers and highlight anomalies to the RSM.
* Retrieve all phone and e‑mail messages, process them within SLA, and process orders to enable timely invoicing.
Requirements & Skills
* At least 6 months of experience in an office‑based environment.
* Clear communicator with a professional telephone manner.
* Good written and e‑mail communication skills.
* Basic Microsoft Excel skills (accurate data input, sorting & filtering).
* Customer Service experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
* Full‑time, office‑based role – Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
* Positive attitude, excellent communication, professionalism, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
