Your responsibilities may include: Delivering high-quality consultancy to operators, leasing companies, infrastructure managers, regulators and government bodies. Applying systems engineering methods to tackle complex rail challenges. Drawing on Frazer-Nash’s cross-sector expertise to develop innovative solutions. Providing technical leadership across diverse projects. Mentoring and developing junior engineers. Current and recent projects include: Improving fleet reliability Advising on standards across the UK and Ireland Rolling stock service life assessments Strategy development for new rail vehicles Dynamic modelling for on-track machines Application of the Common Safety Method (CSM RA) for new technologies The successful applicant will meet the following requirements: Chartered Engineer with proven rail industry experience Strong knowledge of TSIs, NTSNs and Rail Industry Standards Skilled in systems engineering and translating client needs into technical requirements Desirable: Consultancy or project management experience Knowledge of asset management, maintenance practices and safety methods Experience in dynamic modelling and vehicle gauging Due to the nature of the work that Frazer- Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
