Band 3F, circa £31,245 per annum, plus benefits


Part / Full Time

Full Time – flexible working available including job sharing and part‑time where feasible.


Type of Contract

Secondment / Fixed Term Contract until 29th November 2026.


Job Advert

In this interesting role, you will facilitate the effective and timely progression of prosecution files from charging decision to trial by working effectively with internal and external stakeholders (including the Crown Prosecution Service), reviewing file quality to ensure case material and further work meet the National File Standard and compliance with law, policy and guidance.

Qualifications

Good standard of education or equivalent experience with recent experience of working in an administrative role within a customer service environment, including use of databases. Essential to possess initiative, problem solving within a team, effective decision making within tight time constraints, time management and organisational skills to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines. Attention to detail, accurate work, clear concise written and verbal communication and proven interpersonal skills.


Secondment

If you are a permanent member of staff applying for this role, please note it will be offered on a secondment basis. Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.


Shift allowance

Shift allowance, on‑call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
