About the Role
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated and skilled Humanities Teacher to deliver the full Humanities curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for a teacher with strong subject expertise and the ability to inspire students in understanding people, places, cultures, and societies.
The successful candidate will teach across the breadth of Humanities subjects, which typically include:
History
Geography
Religious Education (RE/RS)
Citizenship (where applicable)
Sociology / PSHE (depending on school requirements)
Key Responsibilities
Teach Humanities subjects across KS3–KS4, planning and delivering high‑quality lessons.
Confidently cover content across History, Geography, RE, and wider Humanities themes.
Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and uphold high expectations.
Track, monitor, and support student progress through effective differentiation.
Collaborate with the Humanities department to contribute to curriculum development.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school environment.
Ability to manage behaviour effectively and create an inclusive learning atmosphere.
Strong subject knowledge across multiple Humanities disciplines.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
