SEN Science Teacher
Essential Criteria: PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.

Salary: M1 – UPS2 £31,650 to £47,338 depending on experience
Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a SEN school based in Stoke on Trent. The school cater for young people aged 6 to 19 who have complex communication and social needs typically associated with Autism spectrum conditions.
The Role:
With Science as a specialism, your role as Class Teacher will be to provide high quality teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 that will enable pupils to make progress not just academically but socially and emotionally.
You will foster a culture that promotes excellence, equality and high expectations of all students.
You will collaborate with colleagues to develop an exciting, innovative approach to Science and support in delivery to achieve qualifications. We have specialist classrooms for science along with break-out spaces, sensory rooms and safe outdoor spaces.
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
* PGCE, Qualified Teacher status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training.
* Strong academic qualifications and experience in teaching Science as a specialism and ideally having experience of delivering science qualifications at Key Stage 4
* Experience of working in a special educational setting
* Ability to create and maintain strong nurturing relationships with young people
* Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, to include the students with anxiety/reluctant leaners.
* Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning support
* Strong ICT Skills
