Service Delivery Engineer - On Site Services?? Cumbria?? Core hours between 07:00 - 17:30 - full time on siteOverviewWe are looking for a proactive and adaptable Service Delivery Engineer to join a fast-paced on-site support environment in Cumbria.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, enjoys hands-on technical support, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.You will play a key role in supporting end users across customer sites, managing IT incidents and requests, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. There will be training within your first 3 months also to get you up to speed!Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver and deploy IT equipment (laptops, mobile phones, tablets, desk phones), including basic configuration (training provided)Provide deskside support for hardware and software incidents and service requestsPerform break-fix support on supported IT equipment where applicableReplace consumable components to enable quick resolution for end usersManage and maintain your own ticket queue in line with SLA/KPI targetsEnsure accurate and timely ticket updates, working proactively to prevent SLA breachesDrive aged tickets through to resolutionLiaise with workflow coordinators and internal teams to ensure efficient service deliverySupport ad hoc tasks, project work, and non-ticketed activities as requiredMaintain full compliance with health & safety policies at all timesSkills & ExperienceEssential:Strong PC literacy and knowledge of Windows operating systemsGood troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skillsExperience supporting desktops, laptops, and general IT hardwareAbility to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical usersExperience with Microsoft applicationsFull UK driving licence (role involves travel between sites)Desirable:Basic knowledge of server environments (smart hands support)Familiarity with Active DirectoryHardware repair experience (e.g. keyboards, memory, hard drives)Understanding of networking fundamentalsKey BehavioursTeam Player: Collaborative, supportive, and willing to learnStrong Communicator: Clear, concise, and customer-focusedProblem Solver: Confident in handling escalations and identifying solutionsFlexible: Able to adapt to changing priorities and environmentsPositive Attitude: Driven, resilient, and solutions-orientedSelf-Managed: Excellent time management and ability to work under pressureCustomer-Focused: Professional, tactful, and service-drivenWorking EnvironmentThis is an on-site role requiring regular travel between customer locations in Cumbria.
