The ideal Foreman we seek should embody:
????️ Extensive experience as a Foreman in Civil Engineering projects
???? Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a cohesive work environment
???? Prior involvement with a Main Contractor
???? A valid full driving license
Your daily responsibilities will encompass a wide array of pivotal tasks, including:
???? Thoroughly reviewing drawings and quantities with diligence
???? Orchestrating material procurement schedules
???? Efficiently planning and coordinating on-site operations to meet project timelines
???? Collaborating closely with consultants and engaged sub-contractors
???? Supervising and rigorously overseeing the site labour force and subcontractor work
???? Ensuring unwavering compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols
???? Maintaining meticulous quality records in line with exacting Civil Engineering standards
???? Tackling unforeseen technical hurdles and resolving project-related issues
???? Organising material testing and instrument calibration procedures
???? Keeping a comprehensive Site Diary
Additional Duties:
- Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are strictly enforced and monitored on-site daily.
- Ability to supervise and execute self-performed operations.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with engineering staff, other section foremen, site management, and client’s staff.
- Possess knowledge and experience gained from a heavy civils environment, including earthworks and reinforced concrete operations.
- Maintain a hands-on and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrate a sound technical understanding.
- Manage site plant/resources and efficiently meet demands on-site.
- Exhibit strong verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of subcontractor work.
- Understand and ensure compliance with Environmental and Quality aspects of construction.
- Ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Innovate and implement improvements where applicable.
