You will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and relational practice, recognising the vital role that positive relationships and emotional security play in learning. You will believe that children learn best when they are supported to develop the skills they need to thrive within the classroom and wider school community. You will have experience and confidence in using de-escalation strategies to support individual children, helping them to regulate emotions and remain engaged in learning. Working closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals, you will contribute to creating a calm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and understood.
