Circet UK is looking for an experienced HSEQT Advisor to support our projects and meet the requirements of the Safety, Quality, and Environment Management systems.
This role involves assisting site teams and managers by recognizing hazards, minimizing risks, ensuring high standards of HSEQT are attained and improved, and meeting all legal obligations.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on our work across the Inverness region.
Key responsibilities as HSEQ Advisor include:
1. Developing the HSEQT Management system in line with OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001), ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
2. Ensuring compliance with HSEQT statutory duties.
3. Reporting on the performance of management systems and identifying areas for improvement.
4. Promoting awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
5. Supporting the delivery of the HSEQT strategy and achieving continuous improvement across the company.
6. Providing assurance through monitoring and intervention that operations meet HSEQT legislation.
7. Supporting the development of Circet's culture during expansion and change.
8. Overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating HSEQT performance across the region with senior management.
9. Offering competent advice on HSEQT matters.
10. Ensuring all worksites are compliant with legal HSEQT obligations.
11. Developing and implementing HSEQT initiatives.
12. Setting and reviewing HSEQT targets, objectives, and KPIs.
13. Completing construction stage plans, pre-qualification and tender documents, emergency response plans, etc.
14. Monitoring and reviewing subcontractor works.
15. Writing risk assessments and method statements.
16. Conducting site audits and inspections, including external audits for ISO 18001, 14001, and 9001.
17. Assisting with occupational health issues.
18. Providing training, including inductions and toolbox talks.
19. Maintaining incident records and investigating root causes to prevent recurrence.
20. Monitoring working hours to comply with legislation and policies.
21. Driving continuous improvement and promoting best practices.
Skills & Experience required:
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Degree qualification or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in civil engineering or telecommunications.
* Effective communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* CSCS Card.
* A passion for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.
