Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role involves supporting our operations through assembly, maintenance, and customer service tasks while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the assembly of equipment and components according to schematics and specifications
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and tools
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Conduct equipment repairs as needed, ensuring minimal downtime
* Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required for equipment installation or relocation
* Support welding activities when necessary, adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
* Previous experience in assembly or maintenance roles is advantageous
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
* Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and equipment repair

Pay: £21,978.00-£34,064.67 per year
