Overview:
As the Cluster Maintenance Manager you will oversee the maintenance and operation of all physical aspects of the our portfolio. You will manage a team of maintenance engineers and handymen staff, coordinate with external vendors, contractors and other departmental heads, ensure compliance with health & safety, FLS, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
· Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for all hotels' facilities.
· Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
· Supervise and support the maintenance team in carrying out routine and emergency repairs.
· Manage inventory and oversee procurement.
· Establish and monitor service contracts for critical systems.
Facility Operations:
· Ensure all facilities are operating efficiently, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and elevators.
· Monitor energy usage and implement sustainability measures.
· Develop and implement emergency response plans.
Staffing, Financial, and Material Requirements:
· Determine staffing needs, budgets, and materials.
· Manage schedules and coordinate procurement.
· Monitor contractor and vendor performance.
General Upkeep and Maintenance:
· Manage upkeep of amenities such as a pool, garden and gym.
· Schedule inspections and coordinate with external contractors
Health and Safety Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
· Conduct hazard inspections and corrective actions.
· Develop and implement safety protocols.
· Stay updated on regulations and best practices.
· Ensure statutory inspections are completed (gas, PAT, fire systems).
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in facilities and/or maintenance management, with exposure to hospitality operations preferred.
· Previous experience in plumbing and electric work.
· Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and statutory compliance.
· Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
