Senior Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy) Client An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy team in Belfast, delivering major construction projects across the UK and Ireland. The Belfast office supports high-profile public-sector schemes and offers significant growth potential, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality cost management services. The current requirement is focused on the higher end of the market, with a need for senior, experienced professionals and clear long-term progression opportunities to Director level for the right individual. The Ideal Person To be successful in this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will have between 8 and 10 years' experience within the construction sector in a similar role or hold MRICS Chartered Status. You will be degree qualified in a construction-related discipline, ideally Quantity Surveying, and will have experience working in a consultancy or client-side environment. You will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering cost management services on high-value projects from pre-construction through to completion, with strong communication and report writing skills. Experience working within multi-disciplinary design teams and confidence in client-facing environments is essential, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and B/Q software such as Q-Script or similar. You will also be competent in contract administration under forms such as JCT and NEC. Responsibilities As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee and manage costs on large-scale construction projects across the UK and Ireland, delivering full cost management services from early-stage development through to project completion. You will lead decision-making throughout project delivery, produce reports, cost plans, bills of quantities and contractual documentation, manage junior members of staff while reporting to senior management, and contribute to the successful delivery of newly appointed major schemes.
