Overview
We are seeking a skilled Approved Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and installations preferably in an industrial environment, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. This role requires a commitment to health and safety and quality workmanship, ensuring that all electrical work meets industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, or industrial settings.
* Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and wiring regulations.
* Fault finding of electrical problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working on-site.
Experience
* Proven experience as an Approved Electrician is essential.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to the electrical trade.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical work are highly desirable.
* Experience working in chemical plants, pharmaceutical or heavy industrial environments is preferred.
* Experience installing various electrical systems including cable tray, trunking, conduit, SWA cabling and glands and instrumentation cabling preferred.
* An understanding of ATEX installations and environments is desirable.
