We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Aldridge. This role will involve national travel. Most of the work is between the West Midlands & London, however the role is Nationwide. The unique aspect of the works are that they are all high-end building projects on listed buildings, stately homes or luxury properties, dealing with a very high net worth client base, such as Lords / Ladies / Barristers / Celebrities. Therefore, outstanding attention to detail, communication and customer care skills are a pre-requisite for the role. Your role will be to attend Project site surveys, using a 'consultative' approach to give your professional opinion on the works that need to be carried out. You will be developing sales strategies, attracting new clients as well as nurturing existing accounts. The successful salesperson will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. You will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. Key Duties and Responsibilities: “Get the sale” using various customer sales methods Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long-lasting relationships Meet personal and team sales targets Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory Carry out site surveys and take detailed briefs on requirements Quoting / follow up pipeline Email management Communication with the office team System updates Requirements Proven track record in a Field based role ideally Appropriate experience with Key Account Management Experience and understanding of the construction industry would be beneficial Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written and able to communicate with people at all levels and backgrounds QS background or experience would be beneficial for this role as the bulk of the sales are done on site surveys Track record of over-achieving quota Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and driven Consultative approach Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm (with a degree of flexibility) Benefits Salary of £35k - £45k per annum OTE £75k £85k (uncapped) Car or Car allowance/ Fuel Card.
