Payroll and Benefits Specialist – 12‑18 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary £35k DOE + up to 12% OTE Bonus.
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional with proven end‑to‑end payroll expertise to deliver the full payroll cycle and administer employee benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the full end‑to‑end payroll process accurately and on time.
* Produce accurate and timely payroll payments using the payroll management system.
* Process employee leave to ensure precise accountability of payroll exceptions.
* Professionally resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee queries.
* Identify and alert management of noncompliance or data quality issues.
* Organise and archive payroll documentation in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
* Administer employee benefits programs, managing enrolments, terminations, transfers, and changes.
* Support with confidential administration tasks related to payroll and benefits.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years’ proven experience managing the entire end‑to‑end payroll cycle.
* Confident understanding of payroll legislation, statutory payments and compliance requirements.
* Comfortable working in a small team, contributing flexibly and supporting colleagues.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.
* High levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid role. Working‑from‑home days are generally agreed within the team. The payroll team typically spends on‑site days together, and the successful candidate will be expected to work more time on‑site than from home. The option to work on‑site five days a week is available if preferred.
