Analytical Chemist

Are you an expert in analytical chemistry with a passion for precision and problem-solving? Join our R&D team as an Analytical Chemist, where you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving our packaging coatings portfolio through advanced testing, data analysis, and collaboration with commercial and technical teams.

About the role

1. Ensure Lab Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, following all safety protocols.
2. Perform Advanced Testing: Conduct detailed chemical, physical, and performance analyses of packaging coatings using a range of analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy).
3. Support Product Stewardship: Investigate product performance issues, raw material changes, and customer complaints through analytical testing and root cause analysis.
4. Interpret & Report Data: Analyse complex datasets, generate clear reports, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
5. Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with R&D, Technical Service, Sales, and Marketing to support customer needs and ensure product quality and compliance.
6. Drive Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to testing protocols, lab practices, and product formulations based on analytical findings.
7. Applies relevant analytical approaches and techniques such as FTIR, GCMS, LCMS, GPC and optical microscopy

About you

8. A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, with specialization in analytical techniques.
9. 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in coatings or packaging.
10. Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and methods (e.g., FTIR, GC-MS, SEM, DSC).
11. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
12. Ability to translate technical data into meaningful recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
13. Availability to travel internationally during the training period is required.
14. Personal vehicle to access the Site (in an industrial area)
