JOB DESCRIPTION Are you ready to hit the road with the best in the business? We’re looking for skilled and dedicated HGV drivers to join our dynamic team.
Your Role
The purpose of this role is to ensure that consignments are delivered to and collected from customer premises on time and in full. All consignments are handled and moved safely, comply with all relevant legislation and in accordance with company policy & procedures.
Your Responsibilities
1. Operate a van, rigid or artic to deliver and collect product to/from the end customer as required.
2. Ensure all vehicles in their area of responsibility are in a safe, clean and presentable condition.
3. As the face of KN with our customers and the general public, maintain professional standards at all times while carrying out tasks to maintain the good repute of the company.
4. Scan all consignments on and off your vehicle and provide POD and POC using a hand held terminal.
5. Complete their duties in accordance with the department’s procedures and processes.
6. Comply with civil law and the Highway Code when driving the company’s vehicles on the roads.
7. Ensuring that all vehicles under their control, prior to departure, are correctly loaded and that the load is secured. Periodic checks are to be made during the course of the journey.
8. Be responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out appropriate to the type of vehicle and usage.
9. Be responsible for the security of the vehicle and its load.
Your Skills and Experiences
10. Customer delivery experience is preferable
11. Current or previous association with the Military may be advantageous
12. Essential to hold a Valid Category B, C+E Driving licence
13. Preferable to hold a Valid ADR Training Certificate - Categories 1-9 excluding 7 but with 7x accepted packages
14. Share enthusiasm for our business and the importance of the role to the end Customer & maintain a respectful attitude
15. Basic Maths & English skills
There are strict security vetting standards that must be met and maintained within this role.
