An established professional services firm is looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join its Wealth team in Aberdeen. THE ROLE
As a Paraplanner, you’ll provide vital technical and analytical support to Financial Planners, helping to deliver clear, compliant, and effective financial planning solutions. You’ll play a key role throughout the client journey and act as a trusted technical partner to the planning team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Financial Planners with research, analysis, and technical input
- Prepare high-quality suitability reports in line with recommendations
- Produce cashflow models and technical calculations
- Analyse client portfolios and complete due diligence
- Identify and gather information required for financial planning
- Act as a point of contact for clients where appropriate
- Attend client meetings when required
- Liaise closely with client services teams to ensure recommendations are implemented accurately
- Monitor KPIs and service level standards
- Review client files post-implementation
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards
- Keep up to date with legislative and industry changes
- Contribute ideas and improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture
ABOUT YOU
Experience
- 3–4+ years’ experience in a Paraplanner or similar role
- Strong background in technical financial planning and compliance
- Experience analysing client portfolios and working to deadlines
Qualifications
- CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) – desirable
- Working towards the Advanced Diploma – preferred
