Head of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

This role involves leading the UK Accounts Payable and Credit Control team, focusing on process improvements and operational efficiencies. You will optimise the Groups working capital and identify opportunities for system and process enhancements.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the UK Accounts Payable and Credit Control team, ensuring clear roles and performance reviews
* Optimising DPO and DSO metrics by collaborating with Procurement and Site Coordinators to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt
* Overseeing invoice processing, employee expenses, and payments, balancing supplier terms with working capital needs
* Managing overdue reporting and dunning processes, including reporting to senior leadership
* Developing and implementing a UK-wide credit policy and maintaining customer data and ledger accuracy
* Coordinating ledger postings, reconciliations, cash allocations, and credit notes
What are we looking for?
* Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable in a large organisation (over £50m turnover)
* Line management experience, including team development and performance management
* Strong SAP (FICO, SD, FSCM) and Excel skills
* Experience in credit management, cash management, and process improvement (MCICM qualification preferred)
* Leadership skills with a proactive approach
* Commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
* Integrity, sound decision-making, and a drive for continuous improvement
