Our Creative Arts section provides our learners with the skills and knowledge needed to progress onto a relevant degree at HE level or directly into a rewarding career within the creative industries. We work closely with UAL, our awarding body, to ensure our courses are both subject and industry relevant.
We are seeking a part‑time Lecturer in Art and Design to join our successful team and deliver across a range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 3. You will deliver art and design techniques and processes such as Fine Art, 3D design, Printmaking, Ceramics and Graphics, and assist in developing industry links for live briefs and student work experience.
Responsibilities
* Deliver art and design techniques and processes to students across programmes from Level 1 to Level 3.
* Assist in developing industry links for live briefs and student work experience.
* Engage and inspire learners, fostering a creative and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
* Degree in Art or a related subject with excellent subject knowledge.
* Teaching experience in Art and Design up to Level 3.
* Current or recent experience as a practitioner in Art and Design.
* Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the Further Education sector is desirable; the College will support you in obtaining this if you do not currently possess it.
The role is for 2 days (14.4 hours) per week and it is expected that the working days will be Mondays and Tuesdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays, to be agreed.
