We have an excellent opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our Acute Recovery Team within the Directorate of Mental Health.
The Acute Recovery Team is a specialist clinical service offering clinic interventions for those suffering with severe and prolonged mental health difficulties and who are prescribed specialist treatments. The clinics currently offered are:
* Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
* rTMS clinic
* Clozapine clinic
* Olanzapine clinic
* ECG clinic
The service operates from the Bradgate Mental Health Unit and the successful candidate will become fully trained in phlebotomy skills, taking ECG traces and competent in taking physical observations in selected clinics. We also operate satellite clinics within Leicestershire which the successful candidate will be expected to participate in. This service offers a superb opportunity to be part of a specialist team and to develop new clinical skills whilst working with patients who are among the most clinically unwell.

Responsibilities
* Be part of the Acute Recovery Team and contribute to clinic-based interventions for patients with severe mental health conditions.
* Be trained in phlebotomy, taking ECG traces and taking physical observations in selected clinics.
* Participate in satellite clinics within Leicestershire as required.
* Develop new clinical skills while supporting patients who are clinically unwell.
