Job Description
Purpose of the role: To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients. It is the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success.
Accountabilities
* Manage client relationships to identify the clients' financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance; support the analysis of data obtained from various sources, including the investment portfolio and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, areas for improvement and additional services to support client needs.
* Research and understand the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
* Design customised solutions that address the client's specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank's portfolio.
* Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms that benefit both the client and the bank.
* Provide guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management and wealth management strategies, and updates on market trends to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.
* Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implement measures to minimise potential losses.
* Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency, auditability, and effective communication of findings to support product development, service offerings and the overall bank strategy.
* Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.

* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources and communicate complex information effectively.
* Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications
* Recognised financial planning qualification at RDR Level 4 or above (essential).
* Working knowledge of financial markets, products, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and relevantly to each client.
* Proficiency in using digital tools to support client conversations, paired with thoughtful communication that builds trust and connection.
* Careful approach to identifying and managing risk, consistently maintaining high standards of compliance.
* Experience engaging with internal teams and external networks to welcome new clients and grow relationships.
* Broad exposure to the Financial Services industry, especially in retail regulated products and asset management.
* Familiarity with pensions, investment advice, and UK taxation.
* Experience managing risk within a client portfolio.
* Adaptability and curiosity in a fast‑evolving environment.

Location & Regulatory Requirements
This role is based in Birmingham or Manchester. The role is deemed a certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or meet internal company benchmarks.
