The role
As an Aviation Tool Stores Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting aircraft maintenance operations by ensuring all tools and equipment are controlled, maintained, and available when needed. Working within a regulated aviation environment, your accuracy and attention to detail will directly contribute to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
You’ll be part of a specialist team supporting fast-paced aircraft maintenance activity, where your work ensures engineers have the right tools, at the right time, in the right condition.
Day-to-day, you will be:
1. Managing the acceptance, storage, issue, and return of tools and equipment
2. Ensuring all tooling is correctly identified, labelled, and recorded in line with regulatory requirements
3. Maintaining accurate records of tool condition, location, and usage at all times
4. Supporting tool calibration, inspection programmes, and audit activities
5. Monitoring stock levels and reporting any shortages, damage, or discrepancies.
This is a full-time, onsite role based at RAF Valley, working 36 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Aviation Tool Stores Supervisor:
6. Working within a tool store, logistics, or engineering support environment
7. Managing tool control systems and maintaining accurate records and traceability
8. Supporting stock control, inventory management, and reporting processes
9. Understanding tool calibration, servicing, and safe storage requirements
10. Working within a regulated or safety-critical environment, ideally aviation.
11. This role is open to people with a technical or logistics background with previous experience in tool control in an aviation environment.
Qualifications for the Aviation Tool Stores Supervisor:
12. GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
13. Relevant experience in aviation, engineering, or logistics environments (advantageous.)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
