As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising care staff, implementing care plans, and fostering a nurturing environment for all residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
* Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Safely manage and administer medication in line with best practice.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care.
* Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home environment.
Experience
* Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is essential.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with both residents and colleagues.
* Experience in leading a shift is desirable.
* Familiarity with paperwork systems for maintaining care records is an advantage.
* A genuine passion for working with elderly individuals and enhancing their quality of life is crucial.
