I'm looking for a detail-oriented auditor to conduct a thorough, manual review of a civic accountability website built with, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase.
Important: This must be done by a human, not by AI tools. I need someone who will actually click through every page, read every claim, check every link, and verify sources by hand. If your workflow involves running the site through an AI auditing tool and cleaning up the output, this isn't the right fit. I've already done extensive AI-assisted review and I'm specifically hiring a human to catch what automated tools miss.
The site is called The Ford Files ). It tracks documented cases of waste, policy failures, and governance patterns under Ontario's Doug Ford government. Think of it as a curated investigative resource for journalists, researchers, and engaged citizens. The site includes case studies with linked sources, interactive timelines, financial breakdowns, governance pattern analysis, jurisdiction guides, and cross-provincial comparisons.
Because the site makes factual claims about government actions and public spending, accuracy is everything. I need someone who can go through the entire site methodically and flag anything that doesn't hold up.
Scope of Work:
Link verification - Manually click every external link on the site. Flag any that are broken, redirected, or pointing to the wrong destination. This includes source links on case pages, methodology references, and navigation links.
Factual accuracy - Read the claims, figures, and dates on each page and check them against the linked sources. Flag any instance where a claim is unsupported, a number doesn't match its source, or a source doesn't actually say what the site implies it does. This requires actually reading the source material, not just confirming a link loads.
Source credibility - Assess whether the sources cited are appropriate (government documents, oversight body reports, major news outlets). Flag any sources that seem unreliable, outdated, or misattributed.
User experience and flow - Navigate the site as a first-time visitor would. Note anything confusing, broken, or unintuitive. Test filters, search, navigation, and interactive elements. Check that pages load correctly and that the information architecture makes sense. Flag any empty sections, placeholder content, pages with no meaningful content, or dead-end pages that are accessible through navigation or internal links but serve no purpose.
Security review - Basic security assessment. Check for exposed API keys or credentials, open endpoints that shouldn't be public, form input vulnerabilities, and any other obvious security concerns in a stack.
Deliverable:
A structured report (spreadsheet or document) organized by page or section, listing each issue found with its location, description, severity, and recommended fix. I don't need a redesign or development work, just a clear inventory of what needs attention.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience with website auditing, QA, or fact-checking
Comfortable navigating a data-heavy site with many interlinked pages
Familiar enough with web security basics to flag obvious issues
Able to verify claims against Canadian government and news sources
Detail-oriented and organized in how you report findings
Willing to do this work manually and document your process
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
