This is a vital role ensuring the school site remains safe, secure, and ready for learning every single day. The Role Unlike a standard morning shift, this position is perfect for someone who prefers a later start. You will be responsible for the evening transition of the school, including: Site Security: Conducting the final lock-up of all school buildings, gates, and windows. Maintenance: Carrying out reactive repairs, painting, and general DIY tasks. Compliance: Performing essential Health & Safety checks (Fire, Water, and Lighting). Lettings Support: Assisting external groups using the school facilities during evening and Saturday morning sessions. Requirements Proven Experience: Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or a trade (plumbing, carpentry, etc.) is highly desirable. Reliability: As a key-holder, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility are non-negotiable. Communication: Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the School Business Manager. DBS: An enhanced DBS check is required (we can assist with this process).
