What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Packing Plant Maintenance Engineer, the successful Reliability Technician will be a key member of the Tunstead Packing Plant team. The role involves ensuring effective preventative maintenance plans are in place, maintaining robust inspection schedules, and investigating & resolving plant reliability issues.
The Reliability Technician will contribute to continuous improvement in safety, equipment reliability, and overall R&M costs of the Packing Plant, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
On a daily basis, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
1. Contributing to and motivating a small, integrated maintenance team.
2. Ensuring all condition monitoring activities are completed as per the inspection calendar & schedule to assess equipment condition and risks.
3. Applying preventative and predictive maintenance practices, monitored through specific maintenance KPIs.
4. Leading plant reliability improvement projects to achieve operational benefits.
5. Ensuring all plant risks are identified and addressed in relevant forums.
6. Researching and presenting new technologies or developments to improve plant uptime.
7. Participating in the continuous improvement of the plant's CMMS system.
8. Planning and assisting with shutdowns on all packing lines annually, and helping to implement improvement campaigns.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will:
1. Have a minimum qualification of a Mechanical HNC/HND or equivalent.
2. Have experience working with Packers.
3. Possess experience in heavy industry maintenance or reliability environments; experience in a cement environment is a bonus.
4. Have experience with industrial plant condition monitoring.
5. Be skilled in problem-solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis.
6. Have technical knowledge of preventative maintenance tools.
