You will be caring for renal and dialysis patients in their own homes in the Essex area. As a Community Nurse, you will: Assisting Patients with their Peritoneal Dialysis (PD). Provide safe nursing care, including Peritoneal Dialysis, IV medication administration, and more. Setting up patients automated PD machines. Visiting patients to connect and disconnect them from their PD. Monitoring of observations such as blood pressure and weight to ensure patient receives correct regime. Providing peritoneal catheter site care and dressing changes. Keeping the environment tidy and safe, stock replenishment, waste removal. Contacting referring PD units where their intervention or advice is required. Supporting both Adult & Paediatric patient’s in their own homes. At least 2 years of post-qualification experience. A valid driving license and flexibility to travel. Community experience is desirable. Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
