Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding where required.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of care plans.
* Foster a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and conversation.
* Communicate effectively with team members, families, and healthcare professionals regarding the needs of residents.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
* Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and documentation.
