Business Development Manager
We're growing and looking for a confident, self-motivated Business Development Manager to drive new sales across the UK's Food-to-Go and packaging sector. About the Role
This is a field-based, full-time permanent role (Monday–Friday), ideally suited to someone located within reasonable travel distance of Market Harborough, with flexible hybrid working between field, office and home. You'll be responsible for developing and managing your own sales pipeline - nurturing long-standing customer relationships while bringing in exciting new business from foodservice operators, coffee shops, fast-casual brands, and more.
What You'll Be Doing
Proactively generating new business opportunities in the food-to-go and hospitality sectors
Making 20–25 cold calls and booking 10–15 client visits per week
Meeting monthly personal and team sales targets
Creating bespoke quotations and equipment proposals using Excel templates
Managing ongoing customer pricing, service agreements and upsell opportunities
Working closely with internal teams to deliver best-in-class service
Supporting existing accounts while always looking for growth potential
Using Select Catering Solutions' strong sustainability and product offering to build trust and value
What You'll Bring
Proven success in a field sales, B2B or business development role
Food-to-go, packaging or catering supplies industry experience (preferred)
Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and closing skills
Strong commercial acumen and the drive to exceed targets
The ability to manage your own diary and work independently
Confidence using Excel, Outlook and quoting systems
Full clean UK driving licence
