Teaching Assistants in Newport play a crucial role within schools, whether on a temporary, long-term, or permanent basis. This role involves supporting teachers with classroom activities, preparing resources, and supervising pupils, particularly those with additional learning needs.
Key Requirements
Possession of a CACHE Level 2 or 3 qualification, or a minimum of six months’ relevant experience
Confidence in managing groups of pupils aged 11 to 16 and above
Ability to promote positive behaviour and maintain pupil engagement
Flexibility to work across different departments and with various age groups on a daily basis
