Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK-based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs, motorsport organizations and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
MTCE is currently seeking to recruit a Junior Structures Engineer to join the growing team delivering OEM, motorsport and niche vehicle projects within Multimatic.
This role is suitable for candidates at the early stages of their career, including recent graduates.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
As a Junior Structures Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out all phases of assigned analysis projects. This will involve finite element modelling, results review, hand calculations, report preparation and presentation to support our divisions and outside customers. The engineer will work closely with other members of the team, including other structures engineers, design engineers, manufacturing personnel and customers. After an initial detailed training period, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of analysis projects, from OEM components and mechanisms (ABAQUS, Optistruct) through to full vehicle structural analyses (ABAQUS, LS-Dyna) and vehicle dynamics (ADAMS).
