About the Role
University Centre Leeds is recruiting for a Higher Education Lecturer responsible for delivering our Higher Education Sport provision within the HE Education, Health, and Law department. We are looking for an outstanding candidate to support students in achieving their aspirations of working in the sports industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic lecturer who will be innovative, supportive, personable and capable of inspiring students to achieve in their degree. You will lead students on the BA (Hons) Physical Education and Sports Coaching and the BSc (Hons) Sports Performance and Exercise.

What You Will Do
1. As a Higher Lecturer in Sport, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of sport courses (Levels 4 to 6).
2. You'll create engaging learning experiences that motivate students to achieve their best, contribute to course development, and support learners on their journey to success.
3. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate courses, undertake internal moderation, and build strong links through working with external stakeholders.
About You
4. Hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) or be willing to obtain within two years.
5. A relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in physical education or the sports field, up-to-date subject knowledge and recent delivery in Education.
6. Experience of positively managing student and group progression.
