Our clients Electronic Engineering function is expanding fast, and we're searching for an exceptional FPGA Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team building cutting-edge FPGA-based solutions. This is a key leadership role for someone who pairs deep FPGA technical expertise with the ability to mentor, inspire, and drive delivery at scale.
What You'll Lead
* Leadership & Management: Mentor and grow a team of FPGA + digital design engineers. Set clear goals, drive performance, and foster technical excellence. Partner with systems, software, hardware, and verification teams. Recruit and develop top-tier engineering talent. Champion best practices in design, verification, and documentation.
* Technical Ownership: Architect and deliver high-performance, low-latency FPGA solutions. Provide direction across RTL (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog), simulation, timing closure, and validation. Define design standards, IP reuse strategies, and verification methodologies. Ensure designs meet performance, power, area, and reliability targets. Advise on FPGA technology roadmaps across major vendors.
* Project Delivery: Own FPGA development from concept to production. Lead planning, estimation, and scheduling of FPGA deliverables. Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies. Collaborate with program management to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
What You Bring
* BS/MS/PhD in Electronic/Computer Engineering or similar.
* Extensive FPGA/digital hardware design experience, including a great amount of leadership experience.
* Proven success delivering complex FPGA systems end-to-end.
* Deep expertise in RTL, synthesis, simulation, and timing analysis.
* Strong foundation in DSP, high-speed interfaces, control logic, and image processing.
* Great understanding of hardware-software co-design & embedded integration.
* Strong knowledge of FPGA toolchains and verification methodologies.
* Experience in data centre, telecom, aerospace/defense, or HPC domains.
* Exposure to hardware security, functional safety, or DO-254 is a plus.
* Strong coding/scripting and system architecture skills.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership presence.
