Reporting to the Contracts Manager the Working Foremen (Joiner) will be confident managing High End Residential and Commercial projects while also being willing to work on the tools when required. You must have a full clean UK Driving Licence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Working Foreman Ensuring a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular supervision and inspections with employees and sub-contractors Proven experience as a working foreman or working site manager Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks Carry out site safety checks and ensure all staff are using the correct PPE Assessing and managing safety hazards Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place Directing and supervising day to day operations of employees and sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures Ensuring material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme. Co-ordinating deliveries of materials, plant and equipment Scheduling, controlling and monitoring all plant and materials on a weekly basis Ensuring all work is completed to programme Carrying out regular inspections to ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements, processes and procedures Resolving problems and implementing improvements Organising and overseeing external inspections, such as with a health and safety inspector Creating and maintaining good relations with clients, design teams and neighbours as well as any other stakeholders Raising safety concerns at the appropriate level Fulfilling the role of Mentor as and when required Fulfilling company CPD requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as required Continually developing knowledge of innovative construction techniques and products to enhance the business and fulfil CPD requirements Strong leadership and communication skills Joiner Construction of timber frames Cutting and shaping wood Repairs and maintenance of doors, door frames, windows etc Following method statements and risk assessments, liasing with the Contracts Manager Carrying out inspection of tools, plant and equipment before every use in line with Health and Safety legislation. Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislations Snagging work Providing a quality service to clients and maintaining good customer and working relationships Fulfilling company CPD requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as required.
