Support Worker – Supported Living Service
Location: B73 6SF
Pay: £12.90 per hour, full time (42 hours per week), day shift.
Responsibilities
* Support people with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to help achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plans.
* Perform basic daily duties such as medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork.
* Provide emotional and practical support to individuals.
* Build robust relationships with those in care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Encourage and empower individuals to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
Qualifications
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs, challenging behaviours, autism, and psychosis.
* Valid driving licence (essential).
* Ability to multi‑task.
* Excellent time‑management, organisational, attention‑to‑detail and flexibility skills.
* IT literate.
* Positive, can‑do attitude.
* Strong communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring and positive personality.
* Genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Capacity to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Skilled at working both independently and as part of a team.
